Letter From the President The October 11 tail gate swap N shop was a great success for the club. The total income from the event was $964.13 and was derived as follows: 661.13 from Ed Morrow and the Walt Hulen family for selling all his modeling possessions. 140.00 from Gary Himes and WR Crane acquired donation from a unexpected non member donor. 108.00 from food sales. 55.00 from vendor fees.
I do not have my October Meeting notes here at work with me, so you will just have to check out the meeting minutes elsewhere in this newsletter.
Remember November Meeting is elections. Jeff Laven, treasurer, is being replaced as his job is becoming more demanding with less time for hobby. I also know that Mark Nuetzmann, secretary, would like out but no one is willing to take his job, therefore Mark has agreed to remain yet another year. Although nominations was last month it's not too late to run for secretary. If interested, please come to the meeting or call me. All nominees will have a moment to speak (including last minute write in candidates) before the election.
Also at next meeting we need to discuss when to wrap the shelter in plastic for the winter months. Maybe the Saturday after meeting, but we will talk about that at the meeting. Side note, there is enough plastic left from last year to do the job again this year.
Several of us have been doing electric combat any time there are two or more planes at the field. We have been having a great time. I have had lots of positive comments about our setup we are using.
Ed Morrow is selling airframes for a mere $20, Dale Beck is selling plans for $5. I (the club) has the motor/speed control combo for $20 and Tanic batteries for sale at the discounted price of $25 per pack.
We have lots of time, but we need to be thinking about the "Official Combat Night". What day of the week is it going to be? What records are we keeping, score, participants, number of rounds flown and etc? If we keep records, who is that individual?
The club still has clothing for sale . Zipper hoodie is $25, Pull over hoodie is $20, Button Dress shirt is $25, Tee shirts are $10. All 2x sizes are $2.00 higher. See me to get yours now!
See ya at the meet'in!
Gary Himes
